Infrastructure

The early adaptors developed robust and proven methods to safeguard their data and allow the business to continue when disaster strikes. Carrington Blake employs a data centre operator “The Bunker”, who run and protect the banks of computer equipment (server farm) assigned to the TopDesk facility. The Bunker operate the most secure data centres in Europe, located within purpose built armoured nuclear bomb proof military specified fortresses which were made redundant after cold war requirements were relaxed. CBIT uses two data centres. The primary data centre is located in Kent and the secondary in Newbury, Berks. These facilities are totally unique and located well away from the high risks associated with Central London. This unequaled level of security and redundancy is coupled with the ability to support high levels of power and cooling with stringent access control procedures. The facilities are staffed 24×7×365 by security, technical and network engineers. The two data centres are linked to each other and to the Internet by a fully redundant gigabit high speed network with enterprise quality routings to all areas of the world.
